Hi,

Is this a new install of the card? When did it last work?

Which setup are you using in Final Cut Pro?

Is the same thing happening when you play out with the Blackmagic Deck Control application?

The initial support for CS4 on the Mac will be on After Effects and Photoshop. Premiere support is in the works.

Hi,

The PCI version of DeckLink Extreme will not work with more than 2 Gb of RAM, only the PCIe version.

Hi,

You’ve answered our own question. Quicktime does not support Quicktime VOUT which is used by Final Cut Pro, After Effects and many other NLE / Video applications to output video via hardware. When you do a “Present Movie”, you’re simply using the DeckLink desktop we provide as a graphics card output so the Quicktime clip is actually overlayed over.

Have you contacted tech support? We’ve tested all our PCI Express cards in the new Mac Pros and they are compatible so we can rule that bit out.

Ok. This should be fine. The HD Extreme analog audio output is balanaced XLR at +4dB.

Hi Eric,

You should be using the audio outputs from the DeckLink Studio. If you use your computer’s onboard audio, then the audio will be off a difference hardware clock and you will get a/v sync issues.

As for your audio sounding “tin-like”, it’s best describe exactly how you’ve connected them, such as make model of the speakers, type of cables used etc.

Hi Steve,

Input B the second link of a dual link HD-SDI connection for use with the HDCAM-SR while capturing 4:4:4 RGB 10-bit HD. It cannot be used as a separate SDI input.

Hi Bob,

The Broadcast Converter is an actual rack-mountable unit in the same form as the Multibridge Pro and not like the Mini Converters.

Currently, there is no way to mount mount Mini Converters.
