    Hey Yasser!

I’m having the same problem now.

I tried almost everything. Even contacted Blackmagic but there were no answer.

Vista x64 Ultimate + Tyan Thunder K8WE mobo + Declink Extreme PCI + 4gB kingston ECC RAM. And the card works only if I remove 2GB of ram.

Do you get some help with this.. or you changed to Vista 32??

    Cheers,
    Thomas

    Hello Thomas

No way to get Decklink PCI working under XP or Vista 64 with 4G ram

I switched to Vista 32 with CS4 and last driver 7.1 and every thing working stable

    regards

    Hi,

The PCI version of DeckLink Extreme will not work with more than 2 Gb of RAM, only the PCIe version.

Thanks for the answers. Really bad news although.

Is there any chance for some kind of firmware update to this card or I should change for something else.

    Great.

Just wondering why Blackmagic not mentioning this issue on their site.
They even write in Decklink minimum system requirements Windows Vista recommended 4GB ram.

I did not find any clue on this in the support section.

    or maybe a red-white banner..
“FOLKS DON’T BUY THIS CARD IF YOU USE MORE THAN 2GB RAM”

Now I have two options throw away 2x1gb Kingston ECC RAMS.. or sell somehow Decklink Extreme PCI and buy PCIe version. 🙁

Anyway…thanks for the help everyone. 🙂
