    Hey Tony!

Try to place the first tracker near the center of the shot you are doing. Place the second one on (or near) a point in the same depth plane but as far axially from the first/center point as you can.

Are you getting good tracks? Look at the track data and see if it looks smooth and rounded (good) or has sharp spikes and jumps in it (bad!)

If it looks bad – you’ll never get a steady shot. Keep tracking until it’s smooth.

    Good Luck!

I’ve done this one… (rubber eraser crumbs)

Use a particle system to generate the dust. Have the emitter use the X-Y data on the drawing for position. (or animate the emitter by hand.)

    Good luck!

You may want to try a plug-in from Flaming Pear called “India Ink”

    https://www.flamingpear.com/indiaink.html

You can try it for free.

Once you’re in it, use the ‘spots’ pattern. Play with the settings to get the look you want…

    Good luck!

I realize this is an AE forum, but rather than shooting live pyro you can get a pretty similar look with Combustion’s particle systems using a prebuilt in:

    Library: “Smoke”
    Preset: “Shoot Smoke”

Once you’ve shot the pyro plate you’re stuck with what you get. With the particle systems you can dial it in to perfection!

    Good luck…

I got a pretty good look by mixing an:

    animated Effect/Distort/Liquefy

and an animated mask (to make the ‘hole’)

Three things pop to mind – all of them found in GenArts Sapphire plugins:

    1. “Shake” (the F/X plugin – not the Apple Pgm.)

    2. “Scan lines”

    3. “JPEG Damage”

Mix ’em up so they are all happening (and not happening) at the same time.

    Good luck!

In AE you could approach this 2 ways:

    1. You could have all your elements parented to a null layer

    –or–

    2. You could add a camera

Move either the null or the camera around as your other animation executes.

The smooth motion you like can be achieved by setting your moves (on either the null, or the camera) and then going to the graph editor – selecting all the motion points – and setting them to “auto bezier” You can fine tune the smooth motion by pulling and tilting the bezier handles.

    Good luck…

    Not too hard…

I don’t know what software you’re using – so I’ll try to describe it generically:

You want to do 2 things:

    1. Build your text with the kerning value animated to continuously increase over time. (Make a new layer for each line – so you can control them separately.) This spreads the letters out.

    2. Make a blurry oval plate – white in the center and black at the edges.

Now, use the oval image to matte (reveal) the text, by scaling the oval layer up over time. Scale it back down to make the text disappear.

    Good luck!

You can’t really save PS with the actual contents in place, however, you can save your layout under:
    WINDOW>WORKSPACE>SAVE WORKSPACE

Then if you open your file and load your workspace, it should look just like you left it…

    Try this workaround,

Do a normal print from PS for only one copy, but first click on the “Page Setup” tool that takes you out to your printer settings.

In the printers menus, set it up for multiple copies (can’t tell you how – this is printer software dependent) and then do your print.
