Hey Brenden,
I was in a similar situation a while back. I have used the A7Sii in the past. A lot. Loved the low light capabilities and the video coming out of the Sony. When I decided to buy a camera instead of renting one, after a lot of research, I went with the GH5. Got a Metabones Ultra and Sigma 18-35 art lens. Just love this combo.
Like Blaise says, the 10 bit 4:2:2 video holds up really well in color grading. Love the ‘look’ of the images coming out of the GH 5. I have a few M4/3 primes I use often. But the Sigma is what’s on the camera most of the times:)
The IBIS is totally worth it:)

Can you please post a screenshot of your ‘Audio Hardware’ preferences and also of the Audio Midi Setup (under utilities)?
Are you monitoring the audio through the built in speakers or through a video I/O like BM, AJA?

Check out FX Factory. That’s like an App Store for plugins. And my favourite are from Lenofx and motion vfx. Real good plugins from them:) Leno is a Brazilian guy who makes plugins. He is increasing hi price from the 1st of Jan. Get a few now:D

Just to add to what others have said. I was in a similar situation. Used to rent cameras for my shoots, I’m a preditor. Was looking at the A7Sii and the GH5. Went with a GH5. The internal 10 bit 422 recording and 4K 60p weighed heavily in its favour. The brilliant low light performance of the A7Sii didn’t matter that much to me. I’ve used it in the past, but I’m not missing it:)
Bought a Metabones Ultra and a Sigma 18-35 art Canon EF mount. Amazing combination. It captures great videos. The Sigma art 50-100 or the 70-200 would be my next buy:)
