I notice two things straight away.
8GB ram is not good enough for editing. At least 16 GB required. On a desktop, I’d go 48GB.
Never edit off your internal OS drive. The system already has to run your apps and other background tasks and you’re over working it with your video files. I assume you’re making money out of editing. Get an external thunderbolt RAID storage for storing your media files.

It’s pretty simple for clients to use and very reasonably priced. Was using the free version of frame.io before. When I wanted to upgrade, screenlight seemed to give best bang for the buck. Been using it for over a month now:)

Hi Duke,
A lot of my PC based industry friends use Cineform. Have you tried it? Or DNxHD is another good editing codec. I’m ProRes all the way since I’m on a mac.

No. Had an update pending. Updated. PrPro still doesn’t see it. Seeing the same glitches. Audio is fine though. Am about to download EditReady v2 trial. Will update soon.
