Thanks for the reply Duke. The thing is, EditReady is one of the best and fastest in transcoding. It doesn’t even see the files from my GH5. Neither does MPEGSTREAMCLIP:(
Its only the 10 bit .mov files.

Wow! Just wow! Bough this a few days back. Am loving it so far. No crashes, tracking masks, precise adjustments. Loving everything about it. Haven’t used CF Pro since I bought this. Hope it can be used with Tangent Ripple with future updates. Coremelt have a winner here:)

I copy all the footage onto my working drive first though.

Hey Greg,
When you import files into FCP X, choose the ‘leave files in place’ option in the import window. This won’t copy your files into the library. All the files are left on your external hard disk. This is what I usually do.

Motion is actually pretty easy to get started with. But you can have a look at FX factory for various plugins. Also my favourite, lenofx.com. There are a lot of plugins available to do this kind of stuff.

Hey Tim,
I’m using a BM Ultrastudio Express with my MBP. Been using it for over 4 years. It works like a charm.
As I understand, you plug in the analog out XLRs from the breakout cable into the Mackie. I’m currently using the analog output for monitoring. Works well.
The first thing you can try is uninstalling the BM desktop video and installing one that is 4 or 5 versions back. Hope this works.
