Am able to load the clips from the media browser directly in the source monitor by double clicking and edit without the error popping up. I think I’ll just do that. As soon as I import a growing file into a project and start cutting, the error pops up every few minutes:(

I am using a Promise R4 RAID 5 array, rMBP 2.7GHz core i7 with 16 GB RAM

Hey Barry,
I do this all the time. I make sure that any media I add/import on one system, is also imported to my 2nd system. I just copy the latest project file between the two systems using Dropbox.

Am having a lot of crashes using the Ultrastudio Express with FCPX. If I turn off the AV output, it’s fine. So, i think it is the drivers causing the issue. Hope BM address this issue soon.

Hi Barny,
Go to Playback preferences in PrPro and choose Blackmagic playback foe both audio n video. Make sure you have the right settings in the BM preferences in System Preferences.
I use the same setup and it just works.

Yep:) I bought their previous plugin Audio Denoise. It helped me with a few projects. When they released this, bought it immediately. Saved the audio on my last project. Am sure isotope RX5 can do a lot more, but for the price and ease of use, these plugins rock:)

Sorry was away for a while:D
You need 4 drives for RAID 5. An external RAID enclosure is better. Enterprise class 7200RPM drives are what I’d recommend. Like the HGST Ultrastars.
A SSD boot drive would help in terms of faster boot times and faster app launch times.
With 2 drives, you’d be striping RAID 0. It is heaps faster than 2 independent drives for sure. But super risky as if one drive fails, you’ll lose everything on the RAID. That’s why RAID 5 is recommended for video editing. Minimum 4 drives striped together. If one drive fails, you don’t lose any data. Just replace the drive and it’d automatically rebuild. Loo0k for RAID enclosures with onboard hardware controllers, although I’ve heard good things about SOFTRAID.
