You can try a plugin like MAutoEQ or Dynamic EQ from Isotope. But like Noah says, it’d be easier in a DAW like logic or Audition.

I’m with Dan on this. I convert MXFs to to ProRes 422. It is smooth sailing then. My client tells me not to convert but he’s probably not used to fast response from the machine. It is pretty slow when editing native MXFs. I run the files through EditReady and Bob’s your uncle:)
I work off amax specced 15″ rMBP. It would be better if you’re on a trash can Mac though.

You can use ‘merge clips’ inside PrPro. But I usually use Plural Eyes for this. ver 4 works inside PrPro too:)

Thanks Dave. Am going to go ahead with the OWC for the extra USB 3 ports. With akeyboard, mouse, TimeMachine backup drive, carbon copy closer drive you use up a lot of ports.

I’ vet read reviews about the OWC unmounting after a while. Well, it’s not the case then. Another friend of mine vouches for it too:)
