There are problems in an audio track of an event video of over 1 hour.

Is it possible to automate the EQ in FCP X?
I see where I can automate the volume and pan and such,
and am hoping I can do that with the EQ.

And I am not yet certain that just EQ qill fix the audio.

Can any AudioUnit Efffect be automated?

    What do people do?

Export the audio and break out their old SoundTrack Pro?
Or bring the audio in Logic?

Or Do I have to invest in Waves?

I assume you mean the EQ in the inspector- not really. That sort of more sophisticated audio mixing automation is something you would do in Logic/ProTools etc.

You can try a plugin like MAutoEQ or Dynamic EQ from Isotope. But like Noah says, it’d be easier in a DAW like logic or Audition.

Thanks so much for the response.

Yes, exactly – I saw that EQ in the inspector and was wondering…

And what can be automated in Audio Automation anyway?

    Are those PlugIns “automatable”?

Is there a tutorial for the roundtrip of sending out the audio?

    Thanks so much!
