In FCP you’d have to export them one at a time. No way around that. Deinterlacing in PS is definitely better because you can batch>action that as was said.
Coming into question is your use of JPEG, though. This is a poor format to export with. Try a lossless one like PICT, PNG, TIFF or PSD instead.

Using MP3 compressed audio is bad technique period. Just ’cause you can do something, or just ’cause you want to do something (like use crappy audio sources) – doesn’t mean you should. OK, OK, I’m as conservative as they get when it comes to protocol and I strive to live in the real world. If something doesn’t work, move on and go with the flow. If you need something that the masses don’t, well then, there’s always the proverbial “workaround” – that’s what I do.
I wouldn’t wait around for MP3 decoding on the timeline (why spend CPU overhead on that?) – and just ’cause “Vegas” can do it, doesn’t mean FCP should. It doesn’t surprise me that Vegas can handle MP3s, etc., recall that it was audio editing software for a long time before video features were added.

The DSR-11 is not a feature filled deck. It’s the bottom of the line, so you cannot expect things like presettable TC. The SimpleVideoOut “recipe” is certainly a workaround and works only with the one deck. Believe it or don’t, it is not the norm to output in that way. You see, in most NLEs, including Avid, there is no TC out coming from the computer, so you just have to black and code your tape and backtime your pre-show elements for an Edit to Tape

Go for a MacBook Pro if you want more stability with an Io, which you need for SD work.

Use a video monitor NOT the computer monitor
Set the Canvas to 100%
Set the Timeline to Safe RT
Render with the Dark Green “Full” bar checked in the Sequence>Render menus.A lot of gotchas here, but I bet your graphic is just fine.
You just aren’t monitoring it properly.A FCP system not set up to spec is the root of 90% of all confusion you’ll have with FCP.

Dig this….Regardless of how you output, you should still be monitoring correctly with a NTSC monitor. Especially if you are making a DVD. If you use the computer screen only, at least look into using the HD-Link from Black Magic Design. That will put all the correct pixels on the screen. Of course, it costs some money, but that way you can monitor your HDV accurately.
Too bad companies don’t spend the right money where they should. A video monitor is an INTEGRAL piece of hardware for ALL non-linear editing systems. This drives me completely bonkers. Tell them this: FCP is not an application – it’s a SYSTEM. So it should include all the parts that make up a NLE – Deck, Video Monitor, Studio Audio Monitors, and a Mac.

If the problem you have is only for this particular logo, you might try dropping the saturation on the reds a bit. Engage View>Range Check>Excess Saturation. If you get the “!”, then use the color corrector to drop the saturation a bit.
