I have 3, 1hr shows on DV that I loaded into FCP5 to do some editing on them. I digitized each show as a clip, when I put them on the timeline the audio plays out of sync with the video by the time it gets to the end of the show. It’s digitized to an array so it not a drive speed issue. What’s going on, rebooted nothing works. Thanks

Check the audio in the browser to make certain its 48khz — its possible it may show up as 47.xxx. Are you using a Panasonic deck??? If so, this happened to me… It turned a 6 hour job into a 15-hour job…

    Go to: Sequence/Render Only/Mixdown
Try this and then play the timeline.

The machine is a Sony, it says it 48. I just tried to batch capture the first clip and it did the smae thing.

It did not work, I guess I have to re-digitze in pieces, I can’t wait to find an answer.

My Experience with FCP is that you cannot capture a clip longer than 15-20 minutes long without running the chance of experiencing audio slippage. What I do is capture in overlapping 15 min blocks so once captured I can connect them back together referencing consecutive TC numbers. Hope that helps!

Not a fan of hour long captures either. Capture in 20 minute chunks for better performance.
