Shane, thanks anyways, I figured it out. All that needed to be done was to check none under field dominance in the sequence settings, and the video runs smoothly. Thanks anyways.

Well I imported through a blaqckmagic decklink extreme caprture card, using the blackmagic hdtv 1080i 59.94 apple prores codec. I left the footage as 29.97, (tried removing pulldown but same issue) I hear that it could be from the shutter speed when using the 24f frame rate when recording? But yes the footage stutters more than jagged, either way it looks great on the computer, but very stuttery on the external monitor. Do you think I might be able to import the footage as something else and solve this?

Well the network would prefer an HDCam master for the best possible video quality, but they also take Digibeta which is what our post house is sending them after the close caption. I reside in Arkansas and have been trying to contact a few people who have HD CC software. We looked into MacCaption but yes, to pricy for now. We want the show to air as HD, but can deal with SD quality, and are searching for the best possible solution to send an HD copy to the network.

So pretty much I’m screwed! Well thanks for the reply Shane I really appreciate it. The network prefers a HDCam copy but we don’t have the deck for that, and the only way is to send our show out on a hard drive to the network to CC and put on HDcam, but the network doesn’t have HD CC capability. Would it be better if I just edited everything in a NTSC DV timeline since the network will crop it to 4:3 anyways? the interviews I shot are framed for 16:9, shot in HD, but will be centercut so will pretty much ruin the look I was going for.

Hey David, thanks for the reply, Just tried that setting and nothing happened. When I first setup my tv everything was flawless. Unfortunately I didn’t write down my specs before hand, but I thought there was a ProRes setting in the video playback that I was using, but I cannot find that one now. Is there a way to reset these settings, or get more of them?

Ok, so how do I go about that? one issue I am having is dropped frames with during playback of my raw edit. Should I export the entire sequence first with compressor? what are the necessary steps to convert to SD/tape?

Thanks Shane, I think I’ll try the DVCPRO HD Codec, what I’ve captured so far has been all PRORES (HQ) but has eaten up about 6 TB of storage, but thats 1920X1080 frame size. I would try importing HDV Native but as I mentioned I can’t get 4 channels of audio that way with my deck. Thanks again
