I am a little late to the party, but I have had this happen before. The problem is just as Gary sated. the file did not close correctly. It’s a real pain to fix, but most of the time it is recoverable. Try https://aeroquartet.com they have a tool that can tell you if you can recover the file. Then get out your credit card.

You have newer Firmware than I do, but older drivers. I run both mac and PC via boot camp. on the mac there is a firmware updating application. If memory serves me correctly on the PC side the driver loads the firmware on initialization. This is what allows AJA to upgrade the functionality of the card so easily.

I have the 10.4.4 driver on a Mac 2,1. It has 32 bit efi so no 64 bit kernel. My Audio drops, pops and generally is un useable. I have totally disabled my Kona card in premiere pro because of it. I’m due for a major system upgrade so I may just dump my Kona 3 Card since it will no longer be supported. I had been holding out for a new Mac Pro and we all know where that is.

I too have been chasing the audio issue in Premiere on the mac. Mine is a 2,1. I was re-reading the Adobe plugin release notes, and it says must be using the 64bit Kernel. Since both of us have 32 bit EFI we are not allowed to run 64bit processors, even though the same processors are in the Mac 3,1. I wonder if this is the audio issue?

  • Very weird. This just happened to me too. A little google, and a Cow, and WaLa! Problem solved. Reboot was the most important step.

Yeah it will look pretty cool with all those rectangular expansion boxes hanging off of it to put my red rocket and Kona card in. Makes racking them in the machine room a nightmare.

Yeah it sucks, but the whole thing could have been avoided if if if …

Too many if’s This really points out to me how simple the hfs file system really is. Ive always been able to recover ntfs an fat systems before. Hfs in combination with mac fork files is areal mess.

I have put my call into Disk Warrior and I am awaiting a response. I am going to wait until I can get a step by step method from somewhere. i don’t want to further damage it.
