You can convert them to CineForm files. They work for both Vagas and FCP. NeoScene is the least expensive.

Make sure your burner is relively new or not dirty. I discovered that if your burner is marginal it will burn holes but not deep enough. If the DVD player has a good strong laser beam it will read the marginal burn, but if the Player is also weak it will not read your disk.
And of course all the reasons given in the other Posts.

If you have Vegas Pro8c (not b) and at least a dual core computer you can put your MPG4 footage on the timeline and render it to MPG2 (Plus AC3 for audio). jk

You have to render a sound track also, using the same filename as your MPG2 file. Go Render->WAV or AC3 (if your program has AC3). WAV will work. JK

You can import the .mov file into Vegas, then render it to MPG2 and .AC3 and then import both into DVDA.
