Yeah — I did add a backslash — like: 12/10/13 — would that cause problem??

(using the date / backslash is my normal workflow with P2 media and zero problems with this)…

if the backslash is a problem — how best to get around that??

thanks again for your help — mucho appreciation…!!!

I did re-label the root file — but I do that all the time with P2 files…??

    thx.

Thanks, Peter; I was really racking my brain over this. I’m finishing up a big project & didn’t want to upgrade mid-project. With CC is it less risky to do this??

Thx. for your help; sorry to be dense, but that window (effects control) you directed me to doesn’t seem to get me where I want to go.

I’m interested in an export with a time-code overlay. I should be seeing an “effects” tab as an option in export settings — but it’s not there…

    thx.

    Hey Steve,

Great Audition tips — I’m dealing with an audio issue myself — fan noise bleeding thru some on-camera audio — would you pls. suggest an Audition workflow for me??

    thx.

The station will be offloading from their Panasonic HD deck to an AJA Ki Pro — deja vu all over again.

    Hi Chris,
Thx for your response — I probably didn’t state my situation very clearly…
I don’t own the Panasonic tape deck needed for this job — so can’t log and capture.
I have access to that deck at a TV station, but only want to capture the scenes that I’ll need (I don’t want to mass capture all 2 hours of footage)…
I am aware I need to delete the media currently in my project.
So, what I’m really looking for is a APP solution which would allow me to use the timecode on the videotape to capture what I need.
    Make sense?? thx.

September 10, 2013 at 4:14 pm in reply to: Tripod question

Think of a tripod as two pieces: the legs & the head. If you have budget constraints, buy the best head possible, and spend less on the legs (aluminum, for example, is heavier, and thus cheaper than carbon fiber). I have a fifteen year old Sachtler rig that still works flawlessly — silky-smooth action. I mention this only because a quality tripod will far outlast whatever camera you’re currently using. So don’t “cheap-out” — invest in your career with quality gear…

    I think it’s an eSATA connection…

Take-aways for me here are a couple:
Sounds like I can keep my Maxx Digital Raid5 array, and integrate it in a newer edit environment — good to know.
Also sounds like Promise Pegasus is a worthy contender — extra drive space is never a bad thing.
Thanks much to everyone who contributed…
