Watched Richard Harrington’s Lynda.com tutorial, and he seems to have an effects tab as on option for exporting — all I have is a filter option — it’s with the effects tab that he can access the time-code overlay option…

    I’m on APP-CC v.7.01 — any ideas?? Doesn’t seem to be something I can control with preferences…

    Thx.

Effects Contol window. Shift 5 is the default.

Thx. for your help; sorry to be dense, but that window (effects control) you directed me to doesn’t seem to get me where I want to go.

I’m interested in an export with a time-code overlay. I should be seeing an “effects” tab as an option in export settings — but it’s not there…

    thx.

Oh. So you don’t have an effects tab from your Media Export window. Strange. Have you tried queing the sequence in AME and applying the burn in there?

I believe this was added in Premiere Pro CC 7.1. Any reason why your on 7.0.1?

Thanks, Peter; I was really racking my brain over this. I’m finishing up a big project & didn’t want to upgrade mid-project. With CC is it less risky to do this??

    Hi Ken,

I would like to think that each update CC update is more stable and better then the previous but thats not always the case.

I would recommend completing the project(s) your working before updating version, unless you are blocked by a bug that the new updated version specifically addresses.
