Yes. It seems that only mp3 will actually sound with video. I’ve imported aiffs, wav and mp3’s though individually they all seem to sound if saved as a quicktime movie, when I add the video track, nothing but mp3 seems to play.
I just discovered that this afternoon, but it has to be a glitch or something. Surely AE can use anything it can import?

How are you alinging to the page? Center, top edge, bottom edge etc.
The align palette, as with most of the palettes, is better to use then the pull down menus as there are more options.

take a photo of the equipment and water damage the photo. Rescan the photo and composite.

This is somewhat akin to asking “What’s wrong with my golf swing?”
But, a quick test is to save your image in RGB as a TIFF and one as an EPS. Are you printing directly from Photoshop? Your color settings preferences will affect your output.
Can you place the image inside another program like InDesign, Quark, Pagemaker etc?
Many household ink jet printers print better color when the source file is an RGB tiff.
Give it a whril and see.

You’re talking about imposition. There isn’t any plug-in yet that I’m aware of for InDesign that does this, but I’m sure it won’t be long. Quark has plug-ins that do this.
Here’s something you can do:
Fold a little paper dummy, number it and then just Section each page in your InDesign document. Or, just number then and lock the page numbers.16 pages isn’t very large so you can move those to get them into ‘printer spreads’ fairly easily.

Well, there are numerous ways. One way is to simply trace a photograph with the pen tool. Maybe increase the contrast on the photo first or posterize it to reduce the image to basic shapes.
The Smart Blur filter can really flatten out colors and shapes. Some of those images in that little Chef Chris movie had some regular blur as well.
But, essentially, it’s just drawing the basic shapes that are enough to define the figure and then applying flat color and some blur.

What kind of problem are you having with the rectangular grid tool?
Creating a table by drawing a line and then duping and using the Align palette to Distribute evenly is fairly quick if you need custom sizes, but you can also just use Rules beneath type for all your horizontals which will be automatic, and then add vertical where you want them.

But, if the files were originally saved at the highest setting, you can resave them as a Tiff with LZW and not lose anything. Otherwise, if you need even more space, save them all to cd/dvd and don’t worry.
However, if a file is saved without much compression, reopened and resaved at the least compression it will keep just fine.
Pixel freaks will complain……as they’re zoomed in at 200% on a 32 bit color image….please.

May 18, 2005 at 2:16 pm in reply to: How to create a table with lines &also.. graphs inside photo shopDo you have any other programs you can use along with Photoshop like Illustrator, InDesign, Quark etc? If not, get happy with the Pen tool in Photoshop and use that to draw your tables/grids/charts. After you draw lines, you can stroke them.

Smart Blur can work if you get the right numbers. M and Y equal or within 2 pts, Cyan a 1/3 of M for caucasion. Filters work best when the proper CMYK %’s are good.
Also, try just applying whatever technique on just the yellow and magenta channels. Or R and G if in RGB.
Sometimes working on a channel instead of all of them at once can yield good results.
