You can also adjust the overall gain by clicking at the top edge of the audio track and dragging down. This will pull a line along the length of the audio track from beginning to end which adjusts the overall output, then add or don’t add any volume or pan (left/right stereo image) envelopes to the track. You don’t have to adjust the gain, but sometimes it helps with overall presence. You can also “regrip it” and adjust it later or drag it to the top to get rid of it.
BTW, when starting a thread, ask a question rather than a “How to…”. I thought this was going to be a tutorial, not a question.

I had this issue yesterday as well. I eventually rendered it to my hard drive as a .m2t (combined) and uploaded AT the YouTube page. It may be a YouTube issue.

Yes, Lawrence. I just did the same thing with the upgrade and I am dazzled. In the DVDA 5.2 situation, setting the start of the video to anything other than the menu does not eliminate the menu, it just causes the video to skip it. You can use a standard remote to go to the menu, but when the disc is inserted to the player, auto play starts where ever that start indicator is routed to. This was available in the 5.0 version as well. That’s where I learned it. In my 5.2 installation, it won’t show due to a script error in the help file, but it’s listed in “Project Overview” after searching “Disc Start” in the Search tap in the Help console.
Listen, if you have a problem with DVDA 5.2 tossing a [MUX_SN_E_IO] error when trying to create a BluRay image (.iso) or burning directly to a BluRay, let me know. What you may want to do is render a five minute video in vegas as a .m2v (video file) and a .mpa (audio file) and try to finish them in DVDA. Otherwise you will have to wait six or more hours for DVDA to toss the error.
If the error comes up, go to https://www.photo-fix.com and email me from the front page. Replace the stock subject line in the generated email with “Lawrence [MUX]” and we’ll go from there.
I corresponded with SONY on this issue and with the help of a determined staff member by the name of Emily, we found a solution to the issue. It will involve a clean uninstall and reinstall of ALL Sony applications, registry key removals, etc., so if the issue comes up, save all presets and workspace configurations for all Sony app (Vegas, DVDA, Sound Forge and ACID Music Studio,) let me know and I’ll get you through it.
Many people are experiencing the “MUX” error, as it has come to be known as, and I have disseminated the solution to as many forums as I searched and posted to as well as ones I did not post to. Implementing what Emily told me worked like a charm.
Go for it Lawrence,

I think what you are going through it making sure the video “starts” with the menu, which from my personal use, is not able to be set from a menu. It has to be done on the “face” of DVD Architect. Rather than explain it, look at the graphic to see how it works.
That should be your problem solution.
God bless,
Kelly J.EDIT: BTW, you posted in the Vegas board, not the DVD Authoring board. I hope I understand your issue.

February 16, 2012 at 6:20 pm in reply to: DVD Architect – error preparing Blu Ray image – [MUX_SN_E_IO]I have a solution for this issue. This works, I just tried it successfully. I just went through it and successfully created an .iso image as well as burned to a BD.
Here’s a link to the instructions. This will require a full uninstall of all SONY software as well as deleting registry keys. If you do not feel comfortable with this, have a proficient computer user do it for you. If you decide to continue with this solution, just take it slowly. It worked for me, so I know it is a practical solution.

February 14, 2012 at 7:26 pm in reply to: DVD Architect – error preparing Blu Ray image – [MUX_SN_E_IO]After many emails with SONY, I received a bit of promising info today.
One of the correspondents at SCS sent this to me, after we have been in this conversation over the last month. Looks like they are taking it seriously, but who knows for sure. She mentions an issue with Vegas Pro, but then, maybe the issue IS actually starting there.
“Hi Kelly,
Thank you for writing back.
There was a similar issue reported through our internal database last year relating to Blu-ray .ISO creation in Vegas Pro 10. It was suggested that this problem may have had something to do with a problem in the StatusCodeTable.xml file. Because that issue was reported for Vegas Pro, rather than DVD Architect Studio, I am doing a bit more digging to see if it is the same problem. I will get back to you as soon as I have more information, and troubleshooting steps. In the meantime, I will set this incident to Development status so it does not automatically set itself to Resolved after a period of inactivity.
If you still have a follow-up question on this particular incident, please feel free to update it. If you have a completely different question, please create a new incident.
Sincerely,
Emily B.

January 25, 2012 at 11:29 pm in reply to: DVD Architect – error preparing Blu Ray image – [MUX_SN_E_IO]Ok, here’s my final opinion. I have applied every “fix” found and known to man and have no joy. I have removed DVD Arch, applied the .NET fix, reinstalled to build 128 (out of the box) and no solution. This will have to come from SONY. My only hope is that it is a fix, that if they decide to apply the fix to the next version, current owners receive a huge discount, if not a free installation.
This is a major fail on SONY’s part. Unbelievable. I highly doubt that I will continue to use their products.
I will continue to seek a solution and when/if I find one, I will post it.
