JetAudio is a very stable and robust player. I have been using it since at least 2005, and now, in the past year they have released a stand alone JetVideo, available from the same site. Both will play audio and video, JetAudio provides a media center for ripping and burning audio cds. I haven’t found anything either will NOT play, aside from BD, clear down to smartphone video and audio. I will not use anything else. I like VLC player, but it comes nowhere close to JetAudio/Video.
I don’t use Windows Media Player ever because I do not need to.

March 6, 2012 at 1:58 am in reply to: DVD Architect – error preparing Blu Ray image – [MUX_SN_E_IO]Not a problem. For me it’s a bit of an OCD issue. I can’t stand to NOT have things the way that I want them and know they should be.
Glad it’s working for you.

Malcom,
Before I install any major application, I update anything that will take it. Normally, every six months on the long end, I look for graphics card and updates (AMD) and whatever I can find otherwise. I just upgraded to the Vegas Pro 11 suite as well as PSCS5 Extended. My graphics card did not need a boost, but I checked it anyway. It’s certainly prudent to look for upgrades before an installation.Kelly J.

March 5, 2012 at 5:03 pm in reply to: DVD Architect – error preparing Blu Ray image – [MUX_SN_E_IO]My problem originated in DVDA 5.0. With the help of SONY, I straightened it out the same week I took possession of and installed Pro 5.2, so I was experiencing this issue before I upgraded. Upon the removal of 5.0, I performed the clean uninstall just to insure that I would have no further issues when 5.2 had been installed.
If you are using any other SONY products and decide to go ahead with the clean uninstall procedure, be sure to install DVD Architect first and nothing else, just to be sure you get it right. After installing it, try to produce a small BluRay image to your hard drive to make sure it worked before installing anything else. This was the way I went through it and have no problems at all now.
I hope the best for you.

March 4, 2012 at 3:09 pm in reply to: DVD Architect – error preparing Blu Ray image – [MUX_SN_E_IO]Sure, here you go. The two statuscodetable files were the ones that SONY was interested in. When I first brought this to SONY’s attention, they wanted to know if they were there. As was suspected, they were not. Anyway, this is a folder shot of my fully functional DVD Architect Pro 5.2 installation.

When you save a “Workspace,” a window comes up in which you can save to the default location or navigate to where ever you want to save to. I ALWAYS save to two different locations. ALWAYS. Copy/paste that address into any folder address window, hit enter. There you can delete any saved workspace files so the app resets to default when opening.
I didn’t find this in Help, I just figured it out on my first use. I save to the default folder as well as a folder on an external drive in a Settings folder with a sub-folder labeled Vegas as well as folders for all other apps I save settings from.
Always good to back-up to a non-default folder.
