June 18, 2012 at 3:51 pm in reply to: which music composition looping software and library do you use?It does with the retail version. If you want a copy, (royalty free) let me know and I can mail whatever you want. All video and audio retail suites from SONY come with discs of foley material and music loops. Contact me through my profile if you want anything.

June 17, 2012 at 5:20 pm in reply to: which music composition looping software and library do you use?I guess I should have elaborated also. I use Acid Music Studio 8.0 to assemble parts I create in Sound Forge Audio Studio. Sound Forge allows me to sample simple audio clips or recorded sounds from my local environment and manipulate them to become what I desire. And, as I said, Acid Music Studio is available to construct audio scenes from those manipulated clips.

@Phil, yes, it works that way. I actually depend on that facility. When I start a project, I use my internal drive (a folder on my desktop normally) which keeps things moving swiftly. After getting things set up and ready to rock, I close everything, reboot, then move the folder to an external drive. Then work from there.
I don’t trust Microsoft machines enough to store client projects on it’s hard drive.
BTW, Angelo, when you start a thread, phrase your subject as a question, then during a search, it doesn’t look like a solution rather than a question. Many times I have searched for an answer on a forum and thought I had found a solution, when in fact, it was not a solution, just a poorly worded inquiry.

Mike is right.
Windows Media Live is a native app you can use (I think that’s the correct name.) Make sure you save to disc temporarily in the setup so you get a good render.

March 17, 2012 at 3:02 pm in reply to: DVD Architect – error preparing Blu Ray image – [MUX_SN_E_IO]I understood it completely, but there is no practical method of determining which registry entries should be removed to allow you to NOT remove all SONY software, hence the “blanket” suggestion.
SONY was about to send the “StatusCodeTable.xml
statusCodeTable.xsd” files to me but suggested that I peruse the previous solution. Since I had no jobs on the table, it was feasible for me to do so.Glad you got it fixed, and now we know at least two solutions to the [MUX] issue.
Cheers,

March 9, 2012 at 6:26 pm in reply to: DVD Architect – error preparing Blu Ray image – [MUX_SN_E_IO]Yes, it will. Remember that you will need to uninstall ALL SONY products as referenced in the instructions, aside from the apps that have nothing to do with video authoring.
Follow them very carefully. My guess is that some registry keys may be shared by more than one app, and that’s where the problem may be hiding after removing only one SONY app.
