I am also having this problem. One thing I have resorted to doing, all the way from Vegas Movie Studio, is to create a very short piece of footage to iron this out. I can not continue to wait three hours for a render, then six hours for the error message (or not.) One thing I am considering is to investigate the “An error occurred while preparing compilation” notice at the top of the error notification.

This is eating me up. I am trying to perfect this so I can add “BluRay slideshow” to my product line.

When, and if I find a solution, I WILL be back to spread the joy.
