Yeah i did have some backfocus problems. Hidden menu did work, but it went wrong again very soon again. Sony France fixed it for me (a week before warranty ran out). I believe my version is also 1.2.

Is it possible to convert them with MPEGstreamclip?

Ok. I didn’t know that was your original question. I meant not to worry about it. I also work at a graphic designer and they also use the mac screens for print and it also works for them.

But for your problem, I don’t think that you can change the colour of the lcd in that way. (maybe in the hidden menu where you also black balance…don’t know).

You are right and wrong in my opinion. Yes, the colors are different, but in my opinion that’s not because of the cam, but because of your mac screen. Those screens are always way to yellow.

I use the cinema display (the older beautiful not shiny ones) and use this for coloring (not for broadcast, only web). I know this screen, it’s always more yellow.

I find the picture of my ex1r very ‘correct’ to what i see in the finished production. (i always put in a lot more black though).

  • I think you can better post this in premiere forum actually. I have the ex1r but I edit in fcp. In fcp you can just delete one channel (they are not linked).

I have spent an hour on premiere and I know that you can set the balance in the audio editor, so you can swipe it whole to the left (or right).

But I think there would be an option to delink the two channels and just delete the other.

I also have the MxR. Not a problem in 2 years.

  • Sounds like a good budget! The Ex3 is a very good camera. I have the ex1r myself. They have the same lenses. The macro function I really like. Is very well! The ex3 doesn’t have a good wide angle, but you can always mount another lens on it.

If you want good slow motion, go for the sony fs 700.

I agree! I really like the crt viewfinders but ex1r is’nt a bad screen. It would be nice though if i could put it a litte more towards the front so that i can put the cam on the shoulder (and zoom with the libec mounted on the front).

You’re right. I would really like the 320, I need the body and further I have everything, but of course it’s a money thing.

I don’t know why it is, but you are correct.
