BMD, come on, how hard it this? While its true that the i/q/x lines on vectorscope date back to the old analog days, I don’t think it’s a coincidence neutrally balanced skin tones falls along that line. I think it was done intentionally. If you just wanted a reference point for phase any old color would do. But what’s that most videotaped tone if not skin? We literally film some human skin in almost every single shoot. We love looking at ourselves, so why not use our own pigment as a frame of reference?
And if it’s a made up thing, it’s spread far and wide. Even made it into apples documentation for fcp7.

I’ll refer you the section entitled I-bar.
I’d add that I and I think many others, don’t use this as a guide. Skin tone is subjective and the over all balance of the scene would affect the way skin should read. But people doing so aren’t mistaken or misguided.

I’ve only done discreet stereoscopic. But have done mirror rigs before, and you need to flip and sometimes also flop one camera to align correctly. This is done by going into solo instead of gang in the stereo mode, then adjusting the incorrectly aligned camera. Then you can jump back into gang.
Here is a bit more info on working with stereo muxed cineform (the format that si2k records).

I have had far better experiences with the hyperdeck studio rather than the hyperdeck shuttle. It’s a far better device, and if your workflow fits what it’s capable of, it’s an excellent value. But what it’s capable of is a rather narrow set of functions.

I’ve used the hyperdeck. You get what you pay for. It’s pretty barebones, and kind of finicky. I’d go with the pix240.

I don’t think David’s efi affects this but in os x you can add the gtx580 to the CUDA capable card list there by allowing you to use it. I did this with a gtx480 David flashed and it works great.

You need the dvcpro codec installed on that machine. The fcp installer will add it.

Check to make sure the codec your material is in is on the supported codec list.

CUDA seems to work fine. Haven’t had any crashes. Easiest fix might just be to go CUDA.

Which year is your mac pro from? What frame size are your images? I’ve been fairly impressed with EXR performance in Resolve.

Resolve 8.2.1 beta 3 has been out since last week, and is meant to fix the 10.7.4 issue. I’d recommend installing it.
