It looks like a bug to me as well. But toggling stills doesn’t fix it for me. In that session everything single still I have or make has the same issue.

It’s the standard gtx580 3gb. But that decision was made more for power considerations in the MacPro, rather than a performance consideration. Not sure which I’d recommend for pc.

For stability & noise slower is better.
The power requirements for the classified edition are also quite a bit heavier.

Pretty cool! Would love to see if there is any difference in the standard candle test performance with the Classified Edition.
Sounds like you’re not going to be able to close the chassis though. Might be for the better, Mac Pro with a card running that hot needs more room.
You may be able to hack together a shorter power cable, but I don’t know of one you could buy that would fit.
Do pot some benchmarks though. Really interested to hear what the difference in performance is.

The classified doesn’t work in the Mac Pro. The standard edition barely gets by in a Mac Pro. Classified requires 30% more juice. Closing the case is the least of your problems. Return it and get a standard 3gb 580. It fits.

Hi Pete,
I actually had this happen in an entire project recently. Conformed from fcp7 XML, no stills at all would play, just black. Same media in a different session would still play just fine, but not in that particular session. I was running 8.2.1 beta 2 & 3 (I updated to see if it was a bug).
