The current version of resolve does not support audio. You’ll have to marry picture from your new file to audio from your previous version.
In the future resolve v9 will add audio support. Allowing you to keep audio in the file.

The biggest difference you’ll see is with noise reduction, which is really GPU dependent.

Sorry read 285 for some reason.
RED footage is CPU debayered, you wouldn’t see any improvement with multiple GPUs, as even one 580 is faster than your CPU can debayer the image.
F65 will benefit from multiple GPUs, but in regular playback the fastest you’ll get is what ever value your “Playback framerate” is set to. Probably 24. Try running the standard candle test with one GPU and then with two GPUs to see the performance difference without the issue of debayering hindering performance.

You’re not using the lite version, correct? As that is limited to only one GPU.
What kind of fps are you getting? The red footage is still CPU debayered, which means it’s probably your bottle neck and 2 GPUs won’t make a huge difference.
F65 is definitely GPU debayered, as is (i believe) ARRIRAW, so those should benefit from multiple GPUs. Though the 285s are rather slow & both together would equal roughly one 470.

What monitor are you using? Can you feed it a P instead of PsF signal?

You’ve tried adding the clips into your media pool From within the browser tab correct?

I don’t lock mine up. Just keep it plugin on the back of the tower, haven’t had a problem.
I suppose if you wanted to keep it under lock and key you just run a USB cable to a hub within a lockbox.

May 27, 2012 at 6:34 am in reply to: AE CS6 11.0.1 CUDA BENCHMARK PROJECT – test your graphics cards! We’ve seen the same results in Resolve, where the 580 is on par or slightly ahead with regards to CUDA processing. It has to do with a shift to a software task processor in the Kepler systems. The 690 may out perform the 580. But ofcourse so would the 590.
Hopefully the Kepler based Quadros will have a hardware task controller and improved CUDA performance.

Is this what you are seeing?
You may not be the only one.

Sounds like you’re running 10.7.4. You need to download the latest beta of 8.2.1.
