Add the lut in a track node. And add key frames to vary the output gain on the lut node between 0 and 100. Allowing you to turn off the lut for just the vfx shot.

Itai, can you post a drp of your project. I’m curious to solve this one. 🙂

Also a screen grab of your system preferences>display>color page. Have you tried to “calibrate” the apple Cinema Display… Maybe with something like a spyder colorimeter?

jPo, you’re right as usually. Technically the marker which would support the development of a third type of color receptor, and tetrachromatisis, would only be found in a second X chromosome.

Can you describe a bit more about how you are working? Are you adjusting under a lut, in aces? Do you have a node that’s increasing your saturation perhaps? How are you monitoring?

Rocket doesn’t do 5K in RT. You get about 18fps. The debayer quality determines the res. full res debayer will spit out a full res image then resolve scales down on input. Set it to half res premium debayer and you’ll be dealing with much more manageable 2.5K frames.

2K 16:9… what is the target display for that? 2048×1152, wrong aspect if it’s theatrical, wrong resolution for broadcast. Better than a screen grab would be a rendered frame.

Can you give more details. What resolution? What font? Was there any output scaling applied to the timeline?

Did you look at the text on an external monitor or on the GUI screen? What about in the rendered files?

There is a whole thread about Mavericks issues that discusses this. If you disable audio you should see some improvements.
