July 16, 2012 at 11:28 pm in reply to: Still a no-go with 9.5.3 drivers and PPro CS 5.5I’ve just double checked. And 9.5.2 and 9.5.3 as well should work with CS5.5. That is to say that they have not been changed since the last CS5.5 release.
As for CS5.5 being supported. The plug-ins for CS5.5 are no longer being updated. They will continue to be included in our drivers for a while yet. As for support, we’ll always do our best to get you up and running if there is a workflow issue. But as far as feature updates I wouldn’t expect to see more of them.

It was not intentional, it was an error on our providers side. It is being fixed now, in the future both addresses will go to the same place.

July 16, 2012 at 11:12 pm in reply to: Intensity Extreme Thunderbolt no HD playback in FCPXCorrect, you do have to set the output format in our control panel now. With the new way that FCPX does Video out this is the way it will work with that app from here on out (unless something else changes).
Glad you got that sorted.

July 16, 2012 at 11:09 pm in reply to: CS6 Premiere Decklink Studio Stutter, video stops, audio continues.?Hey David,
We got your email on Wednesday, though your email seems to reference a lag between the program monitor and the output monitor.
So there is one bit of low hanging fruit I’d like to ask about.
If you use the arrow keys to step through the video then hit space bar to play, there will be a significant lag on the Video out. This is an issue that happens with other vendors too and is being looked into. FWIW if you scrub with the mouse it doesn’t seem to do the same thing.
Now, if that does not sound like your situation, then we need to try to reproduce what you’re seeing. So I’d need to know the format you’re using, preset so that we can set something similar up here. Also does this happen as immediately or does it happen after you do something specific. If so please give us that info as well.
Sincerely,

Hey guys,
This sounds odd, not sure why the codec type would cause this sort of thing since Premiere Pro itself handles all the decode, but it certainly seems like you guys are experiencing it.
Can you give me your system details here and more specifics on the format you’re using and how you’ve configured your preset (rather which you are using?).
Thanks

July 9, 2012 at 9:12 pm in reply to: Capturing ProRes 422 with Black Magic Decklink HDMostly because we’d basically have to quadruple every setting that includes the ProRes Codec. So for every frame size and rate, we’d need to essentially add 3 more preset per. As you can see the Blackmagic List is already long. No technical reason, just a practical reason.
Easiest thing to is to duplicate the default prores setting and change the codec as Juan mentioned, then save it out again. Do this for the framesizes and rates you use.

July 9, 2012 at 9:05 pm in reply to: WHAT is actually going on with Decklink/Premiere??True, you no longer need to specifically use BMD presets due to the Mercury transmit engine. But as a test is it possible to try the 1080p stuff in a BMD uncompressed sequence? Obviously renders would take up a ton of space, but i’m curious if the audio stuff gets back on track. For the 720p can you try the 720p50 preset (as our boards don’t output 720p25).
Technically Premiere should be handing our board the same frame either way, but i’m curious as to what happens when we go about it this way.

July 9, 2012 at 8:59 pm in reply to: New firmware for converters: disappointed, againHey Jeff,
Sorry to hear about the continuing difficulties. Unfortunately this update didn’t include any fixes for the up/down/cross unit (as you can see).
This particular issue is still on the list, but didn’t make it into this update. I don’t have any timeframe update on this either, just thought I would let you know that it is still an active issue.
