Unfortunately at this time “Round Tripping” will not work with FCP X. We are continuing to work closely with Apple on future compatibility enhancements.
This feature should continue to work for FCP 7.

We’ve tested some of these
1) OCZ Vertex 3 240 Gb
2) Kingston V+ 64GB & 128GB
3) Crucial C300 256GB
4) Crucial M4 256 GbOne thing we’ve noticed is that it seems drives with the Vertex 2 chipsets seem to do some sort of compression on the fly which severely limit speed. The Vertex 3 chipsets do a lot better. The Kingstons i’ve used at several shows and work solidly. Crucials are nice too.
As we move forward we will continually test new drives and get feedback from the customers on drives that are working and not working.

Okay, so I think I see what’s going on here.
Did you configure the setup by yourself or are you using a blackmagic preset?
For 1440x1080i i’m assuming your using some sort of compressed format, either HDV or AVCHD. In either case you want to select the 1920×1080 50i (25i is not a good way to label it). You can choose whichever codec you want from uncompressed to mjpeg.
The red bar may appear overhead depending on the source codec, ideally you’d like them to match but in some cases this is not possible.

Okay…that’s interesting. We’ll have a look into that.
I’m unaware of anything changing on the Audio side of our drivers, but we’ll have a look.
I’m currently waiting for a copy of 5.5 so it may take a few days, but I should have a copy on the way.

Jonathon is right, there is no trial issue as of right now. Also I believe we’ve certified the HP z800 as a system that works nicely with Revival so integration should not be too much of an issue.
I’m not sure if there is a configuration guide but I can check into it and answer back here.

If Component capture has always worked well in the past I would check a couple of things.
First off, the keep it simple solution. Check your blue difference (B-Y, blue RCA) and red difference (R-Y, red RCA) cables.
I know this seems over simplistic, but make sure the cables are good (that you are NOT using a Yellow/Red/White RCA set), and that the are connected firmly. Also make sure that the Red and Blue RCA cables are plugged into the INPUT on the breakout cable, not the output cable.
Since your issue definitely seems to be centered around your component not getting the chroma signals I would start there.
Once you’ve checked that, I would check your source device and make sure that it is outputting component and not composite or S-Video which could yield similar results.
Finally if all that isn’t the issue try with a different component source. If you have the same issue there may be something wrong with the card.

Err…odd. Okay, I asked the product manager about the down conversion during capture and he told me it doesn’t do that, but I had to ask him because I could just “swear” that it would.
So, I will actually have one of my guys do this in the lab to find out.
So that is part one. Part two is running an app. Media Express 2 does NOT need to be focused in order to have capture running. But you have to set that option in the Media Express preferences. There’s a checkbox in the preferences to all Media Express 2 to run while not focused. So make sure that is checked and give it a try.

I’m pretty sure as long as the card is not damaged that we can factory flash the firmware to the board. And we’d be happy to do that for you even if it is out of warranty. Just contact your most local office and tell them it croaked in a firmware update.
Now…so that we are putting all card on the table here. If we get it back and we flash it and it doesn’t work (which would point to more serious issues) then we might be in a different boat. But as long as the card simply has a bad firmware we can correct that for you.
