Try this tutorial – 3D is about Space…Z space to be accurate.

Use cameas – 35 is decent and push through. Get to know you Bezier tools for adjusting speed and motion for the path. Use Easy Easy when possible (F9). Distort>OPtics Compensation>Reverse will add a bit as well.

Hey man –
Not sure why you’d want to use Motion control – you can get high res scans and drop into 3d via AE – just set up a camera.

Hi Steve,
Sorry for non-specifics.
You’re summary is exactly how I preformed the set up assuming that Fractal layer would dissapear – however, what I end up with is the Text layer AND the Fractal layer animating as set but with no effect what-so-ever to the Text layer.
What I’d liek to see is just the text layer bluring in and out according to the FN layer.
Hope this makes more sense.

Check your view settingings inside the master comp your rendering from. They’ll render out as set.

Smoke a joint and examine Sgt Peppers Album cover for…say….three hours or so. Then cut the images you want to use in PS, bring them into AE and set them as 3-d layers. Set their Z posistions, add a light and camera and….viola.
