I’d suggest 3-D for the flow and the bottle form – ypu may want to shoot the talent on greenscreen first and then composite the background, talent and water.

This is all fairly basic stuff – you have the video which has been precomped and jostled either using the wiggler, expression, or manually and secondary solid white layers with opacity KF’s and adjustment layers with Gaussian or Fast blurs that are tied into the opacity of the solids.

Fast Channel has recently changed their levels requirements – Luma is 100 and Chroma 120. You should be able to adjust manually in your Broadcast Safe functions.

I finally got it to work – apprently you have to go through the Adobe Uninstaller when wiping AE from your drive in CS3. After the reinstall it’s working fine.

    Thanks for the feedback.

    Best,

The graph editor allows you very precise control on how your keyframes interact. If your comfortable with Bezier handles, I’d suggest work in this view. Shift + F3 will open the viewer inside your timeline.

    Several options –

    1. You could create in AE if you really want to get creative and spend some time analyzing what you need and how best to extract from AE.
    or
    2. Download stock elements from any one of a number of over-priced footage sites.
    or
    3. Get the real deal. Not the quickest method. Find old film on ebay – if you dont have any – get it digitized and cut the leaders out. You can then play around with compositing modes and multiple image overlays to achieve.

    Best of luck.

I would reccomend the upgrade to an Intel only if it were critical. If you’re using AE 7, without 3rd party filters, you should be OK – however if you’re going to use Boris, Trapcode, etc. you’re going to run into difficulty. I think, 7.5 should address the issue and will feature an Intel native platform but in the interim, in retrospect, I’d run AE on the non Intel chip set only and reserve the Intels for FCP.

Try removing the Open GL Extension.
