Yes. 2GB would be better. Make sure you get an approved graphics card (I’m assuming you are running this on a laptap – I don’t understand what you mean by ‘I have no graphics card’….) and an approved system. Search the Avid site for hardware configurations (you gotta’ work a LITTLE bit for this, no?)

Try either of these two:
a. Put a submaster FX on the mixdown track. Step into it and apply your DVE.b. Don’t mixdown (you have an original copy of your sequence, right?). Open 1 title, promote it to 3d, make your changes. ALT/Option drag the FX icon in the upper right hand part of the window to a bin (it will have the ‘without source’ suffix added). Select your titles using segment mode (there is an easier way, but I don’t remember it at this time of the morning!) by shift clicking. Double click your FX icon in the bin. Voila’!

Throw a color effect on the top track (not color correction).

Pioneer LV-1 and a similiar JVC deck allow you to record without a menu.
I’ve got a mid-level consumer model that says it records a menu, but it never plays. I don’t recall the make / model, but I’ll post it later.

Well, I still would like to know what you’ve tried. It’s much easier to troubleshoot something when we start with the basics.
Are you usings QT reference or self-contained QT?
What are the settings you started out with? There are many ways to export. QT reference is the preferred if you are encoding on the same machine.

Try rolling back to QT6.5. There were huge problems with people (or iTunes) upgrading to the latest/greatest QT version before finding out whether Avid could use it.

I don’t think your USB drive is going to be fast enough to use as a media drive – that could be your first problem. Are the media files in a folder called ‘OMF Files’?

Try running bars to the TV (through the switcher), then shot it with a camera. As best you can, adjust the PLASMA to get correct bars… Did that make sense?

No.
And it’s not an Avid thing, it’s an OS thing. Sort of. Avid uses AVI type-1, which has a 2 gig file limit. AVI type-2 does not. Do you not have Sorenson?
