    Export audio sync problem

    I’m attempting to export a Quicktime of a 70 min sequence, but I always produce results with the audio out of sync. When I play back the quicktime (used both Avid DV and Sorenson 3 codecs) the audio starts off in sync at the start and gradually becomes more and more out of sync with the video. After about 50 mins, it’s almost one second out.

    What’s up with that? Any suggestions or ideas? Thasks…

    What version of QT are you using?

    QT 7 Pro.

    Actually, I kind of figured it out. If I export as a Quicktime Reference, it plays back beautifully. Still doesn’t explain the original problem though…

    Try rolling back to QT6.5. There were huge problems with people (or iTunes) upgrading to the latest/greatest QT version before finding out whether Avid could use it.
