    Not on a PC..

    So you are using an extermal monitor on a laptop. Have you gone into windows settings and identified which monitor is 1 and which is 2?

    Well, Quicktime is the native format for Avid, so I’m not sure where that piece of advice came from…

    If the .avi plays on your Mac, your Avid should import it.

    I’d go with the H.264 Quicktime…

    Do you have the correct input selected in the digitize tool? I’ve found, especially with consumer level cameras, it’s easier to capture in Windows movie maker. You’ll get an AVI, and it’s easy to import into Avid. The manual talks about a firewire interface – you’ll get better quality than going analog…

    Not sure about the maximum number in a group. The maximum visible and playing in realtime is 9, as long as the resolution is an ‘m’ resolution…
