There is a great pc application for reading and writing to mac formatted drives. It’s called macdrive.

If it gets.progressively worse as time pre on then I’d ask do you have the sequence audio kHz rate the same as the music track? CDs run at 44.1 video is standardized to 48. Convert the 44.1 to 48k and you could be back on track.

You could add an in marker and out marker on the timeline and extract. The playhead will snap. That would be several clicks /moves less…

At the settings stage there is a tab for multiplexing. You need to have it ticked for an mpeg file with multiplexing audio and video.

This would be a HDV PAL 1080i Anamorphic sequence.
From CS5 onward you can select a clip in the project panel and drag it over the new item icon at the bottom of the project panel (it looks like a little page with the top left corner folded over).
This will look at the clip properties and create a new sequence that matches it and place it inside it. The name of the clip will also then be the name of the sequence, just rename it to keep working with it and add all your other clips into it.
CS5.5 introduced a right click feature also to “create new sequence from clip” which then can be assigned with a short cut key!

Hold down the ”Shift” ”Contol” (Command for Mac) and ”Alt” Keys together as soon as you launch PPro and let go after it has finished loading into the first new or open project screen.

The rendering is for the audio to make the nested audio into a waveform. I hear you are having issues with it so here is a work around…
Copy and paste the audio tracks you have set to sync in the nest which becomes the enabled multicam clip so that you have the nest enabled in a ”switching” sequence and the actual audio from the original clips underneath. Have an empty active so that you can point the multicam window to that and not affect your audio tracks when switching.
File any bugs you find at this site and Adobe will work on it.

PS; if you stack the clips and sync them. Then select them and make a nest the video track will be replaced with the nest clip but the audio with stay underneath. That’s how I build the multicam project its quite quick once you know. The render issue doesn’t POP up as the audio isn’t nested.

Alex must have lost the key he was referring too.
is the key to show what is called the 80/20 view where you see the entire edit at 80% of the space and the last 20% of the view is space for editing.
you can hit the – or = keys for zoom out or zoom in, then hitting the key will pop out to 80/20 view and hitting the a second time will zoom you back to the same level as where you just left.

The only way this situation is possible is if this friends system did not have Quicktime installed at the time Premeire Pro was installed.
