How can I shrink my timeline to the size of the sequence (like Avid does)and not the current 10 minutes. I’m working on :30 spots and don’t want the extra length. Nothing I’ve tried has worked…

    Thanks!

What does “should be the key” refer to???

Alex must have lost the key he was referring too.

is the key to show what is called the 80/20 view where you see the entire edit at 80% of the space and the last 20% of the view is space for editing.

you can hit the – or = keys for zoom out or zoom in, then hitting the key will pop out to 80/20 view and hitting the a second time will zoom you back to the same level as where you just left.

I still don’t see the key in the post. Just what is this magic key…I know about the zoom in and out keys. Where is the key located on the keyboard? Row and column would be great! Thanks!

it’s the slash key with the top leaning left.

On my keyboard it’s right over the return key and below delete.

    Backslash?
But the timline will always be 10 min longer at the end of the footage.
