Relax. Reinstall Premiere Pro CS3 and EncoreDVD CS3. It won’t take that long… Then look for the updates for them in Help> Updates. There is one for PProCS3 3.1.1 and EncoreDVD 3.0.1.
They can be downloaded from adobe.com (search for the updates)
If you can export an avi clip of the timeline encoreDVD can convert that to DVD MPEG-2.
You seem to have a corrupted installation of these programs, please reinstall them. If you are running a trial version you must buy it to complete the process.

I’m confused as to why you are working backwards?
PPro2 to PP6.5
Why don’t you keep working in PPro2?
If it’s because you have hardware that lets you see the timeline to a monitor, that can be done through the Z1 camera in PPro2.
Make sure the camera is set to DV and it will output through it with the analog cables to a monitor.

There is none. Sorry. I liked that feature and lots of people are telling Adobe to bring it back.

Select the timeline panel you want to burn to DVD.
File> Export to DVD…
… tick the ‘Loop Playback’ box under the ‘Export Range’.

Render out the AE comp files. Replace them in the timeline in PPro and se how that works.
The AE Dynamic Link can only fairly simple AEP comps. If your computer isn’t super fast it only gives you a guide. Wouldn’t use it to finish if I have a complex project esp with 3D cam, lighting that kills the cpu in flip/flopping to and from AE to PPro.
Hope the rendered versions don’t freeze your project.
If it does, try starting a new project – same settings and import the PPro project into it.

December 5, 2007 at 11:49 pm in reply to: Offline/online editing with uncompressed/dv filesI used to set a folder with the offline DV.avi files, then when I was done I’d close the NLE rename that folder something else and rename the folder with all the uncompressed.avi files the same as the other one was. Opening the NLE again kept looking in that ‘Folder’ and reconnected everything automatically. Way faster than unlinking and relinking file by file.

I’m one of those cineform advocates. It is a great plugin for HDV and HD workflows. It works with these projects I think it’s the avi wrapper. The mpeg is not working so I think its a problem embedded in the fact it’s mpeg. They should fix it as an offline, but then it looks like the system still sees the properties as mpeg, but…
I’m all for the noise towards adobe to fix it. It does make it useless having the option in HDV projects if it doesn’t work. It’s funny how this offline/online workflow is nowadays considered a work-around. That used to be the way everyone did things once upon a time.

In CS3 you can replace clips in the timeline by holding the alt key when you drag and drop over the layer you want to replace. It will replace an avi or psd with a title. Any effects you have on the original clip will also attach to the replaced file.
