it won’t let me keep my original aspect ratio
Anamporphic footage is natively 4:3 so you need to set the export aspect ratio properly. What format are you exporting to?
I can’t export to Divx properly.
You may have found the best settings with Vegas, but you’ll have to do the R&D to make DivX come out the way you want with Premiere.

Yeah set it up as Anamorphic (Final Cut Pro> Easy Setup), Make a new sequence/timeline and add the (interpreted) clip to it.
Render the timeline just to be safe. (Option+R)
Then file export to tape…

Are you working in HDV? HD? SD?
Your system isn’t that strong – increasing the size of clips to 102 is extremely uncommon practice, it won’t give you that much more than what you see at 100%. That’s making the computer work hard to calculate. Colour correction will make it work hard too if you have done a lot of it. 90 mins of this will push the system to the brink. I’m surprised it’s stayed stable. I find exporting to directly to Encore actually takes longer than just making an MPEG-2 then importing it into Encore.
Once you’ve done the encoding Encore only needs to setup the author, the encoding will only happen to things that aren’t encoded – Like a Menu or other clips in avi or mov format.
HD, HDV will take a long time to render too – without having to handle changes, colour corrections, etc.
– If you are going down to SD from HD/V I suggest you make an avi version 1st. That won’t take so long to export then make the MPEG.
This is why Hardware companies make money, this stuff on big scales happens in RT with Cards such as Matrox Axio.

That doesn’t sound right at all. It seems your install is not quite right. Help> updates should be available.
Have you actually used Bridge to navigate to some clips etc.
If you haven’t used it yet that could be part of it not showing up yet?
I’d reinstall the whole lot. A pain, but it would eliminate the possibility of a bad install.

PS: If that doesn’t work contact Adobe about it. You will have to create an AdobeID if you don’t already have one.

I’ve done this many times in the past and the project files and assets don’t get affected by the uninstall and reinstall process. That will only affect the folders and files for the Applications. If you are worried back up the files to another drive.

Try using BridgeCS3 to Help> Updates… That is the Adobe recommended way to update all your stuff. You might need to go to the preferences and tick the boxes to all the updates as they may not all be coming through automatically.
Close all CS3 Apps and Firefox. Let it do it’s thing.

As Harm mentioned you will need to go to SD res. But that can be done with the convert to MPEG-2 settings. Use a High Bitrate (7200Kbps) at CBR (Constant Bit Rate) if your project is not too big. 40mins MAX. Set Audio to 128Kbps. And the frame size will be set according to NTSC DVD (720×480).
You could find the best VBR (Variable Bit Rate) with a calculator…

I’m currently working on a Tutorial about using PPro to make the best possible key using track matting. Same as AE would to pull most detail out of a key. Basically you need to make a matte (black and white) version of what is alpha (Black) and what will be opaque (white) with a combination of Chroma Key and Non red Key – select the mask only.
Then you need to make a copy of the original clip and lay it under the matte version. Apply the track matte effect on bottom layer (original) and set the matte layer to the (B&W) matte.
Teaking colour balance is done on the original and you have a pretty clean key.

In FCP you can change the aspect ratio setting by selecting the clip in the browser (where you import it to) hit apple (cmd) + 9. That will bring up the clip settings. Click on the aspect ratio one, a box drops down select the widescreen one. Then put it into the timeline. Any use of that clip in timelines won’t update the new aspect ratio. You will have to replace them.

Did you upgrade to CS3 after having CS2 software on your computer?
You will need to run the CS3clean. Do a search on the net.
