Group all of the events together and use Ctrl+Drag to change the overall length of the group.

Not sure why you would have to buy the cable to find out. Try going into the control panel for your graphics card and enable the S-Video output. If your secondary display goes blank (like mine did), you can’t have both on at once. If the secondary stays on, chances are you will be OK. (then buy the cable)

One thing to try is to match the project to the file and see if that helps. In the project properties and use the Match Media Settings button (folder icon next to the template name) to match the project settings to the file. Otherwise, I can’t imagine what it might be.

You are correct, some DVD players can’t handle 24p natively. For the best compatibility use the “DVD Architect 24p NTSC video stream” or “DVD Architect 24p NTSC Widescreen video stream” template. They will both add 2-3 pulldown to the 23.976 frame rate to keep it at 29.970.

Not a dumb question at all and the answer depends on your graphics card. Most dual-head cards are limited to two simultaneous signals even though they have more outputs. I believe what you will find is that your graphics card will drive the secondary monitor OR the S-Video out but NOT both at the same time.

Did you try the chroma keyer? Why did that not work? (what did it not do?) This is what you should be using just like you are using for the white background. The same would be true for green screen. The chroma keyer is designed to remove blue or green but can work with any color. Green is better for video because the luminance channel also carries the green signal and so there is more information to use for keying. Blue works better with film but both should work.

First, the AT2035 is a condenser mic and requires 48v phantom power to work. Does the USB “cable” you are buying supply phantom power? If not, it won’t work with your mic.
Second, the key is recording with low latency with Sony software is to get an audio interface with ASIO drivers. These drivers will allow the low latency required to record in real-time. Not sure if the USB cable you are talking about has this or not.
Before spending $80 on just a cable, I would look at buying a complete USB audio interface that has speaker outputs, headphone outputs, XLR/Instrument inputs, and phantom power. Something like the M-Audio MobilePre USB ($129) should get the job done. Just make sure it has drivers for your Operating System. Not everyone has Vista 64 drivers yet but Vista 32 and XP Pro should be fine.
