Is there a way to either stretch or shrink each picture simultaneously in a series of stills on the timeline, and still preserve the cross fades between each picture. I’m trying to make the video timeline the same length as the accompanying music track. I’m using Vegas Pro 8.

Group all of the events together and use Ctrl+Drag to change the overall length of the group.

Also a handy little plugin from vasst called
still motion” is something you can take a look
    at when you are done.

Or, use the picture compilation feature in DVD-Architect. This does mapping to music length, and zooms, but does not do transaitions. For that I think you need the VASST tools or Jet-DV.
