Presets are saved under the user account that is running the software so if you run as Administrator, they are saved under the Administrator’s account instead of your account. You need to save them while using Movie Studio as your own account.

That’s done with Motion Tracking software specifically a Planar Tracker, which Vegas Pro doesn’t have. That particular one was done with perspective tracking turned on so that the perspective of the word changes with the camera movement. You could do that with Mocha Pro or if you have a Mac and use Final Cut Pro X you could do this very easily with a $99 plug-in called Track-X.
The only motion tracker that you can buy for Vegas Pro would be Boris Continuum Complete Match Move but it doesn’t do perspective tracking so you can’t get the text to turn in 3D space with the camera. It will, however, track text in 2D space as seen in my Boris TV Episode on Match Move:

Yea, Media FX are a very powerful concept because they affect the media in every event that it’s used in. This is great for color correcting and white balancing so that you are certain that everywhere the media is used it will be balanced. If you just want to effect a single event on the Timeline then Event FX are the right choice.

It sounds like you may have added a Media FX instead of an Event FX. If you apply the FX to the Media, it will be applied in every single Event that the media is used. Vegas Pro doesn’t use the term “clip” so I can only assume that you are splitting Events on the Timeline. Make sure you are not adding the FX to the Media. You want to add them to just the split Event. (strange terminology, I know. This is because Vegas was an audio editor before it was a video editor so it uses very generic terms which confuse everyone)

Yea, Pixelmator rocks. I’ve never mentioned it here because it’s Mac only but the iOS app was a no-brainer to purchase for me. I knew you’d like it. Very polished. Very functionally complete. Glad you’re enjoying it.

Boris RED includes Graffiti and Continuum Complete functionality so you only need Boris RED. I’m not sure how Twixtor fits in. That’s a retiming tool not Motion Graphics. Actually the latest version of Continuum Complete includes Mocha functionality so I wouldn’t be surprised if the next version of RED has it too.

You could use Track Motion at the Track level to tilt everything on the track the same amount.
