Be certain your DVD Project in DVD SP is not set to HD DVD. If it is, your disc won’t play anywhere.
Even if your assets are SD, its still possible your project in DVDSP is set for HD DVD.

Let’s be clear about what this means. In order to receive upgrades you must pay for a support contract which costs $299/yr. The support contract also includes phone tech support (a paid option in the past), in addition to software upgrades. You are not obligated to install the upgrades you are entitled to. If you do not continue to pay for the $299/yr support contract, your license is frozen. It can no longer be upgraded. You need to purchase a new product at full price. Your last version will continue to function normally, however. It won’t stop working if you stop paying, like Adobe CC will.

Select everything in the timeline and drag to an empty bin. Sort the bin by compressor.

I need to ask….why don’t you just shoot it 25fps? That’s what they asked for, right?

You quite possibly are fine just leaving it. Avid does the pulldown removal correctly. Thats what the green dot effect is doing. Its called a motion adapter.
Relinking back to the original media may be tricky if you transcoded the frame rate. Avid error messages will tell you its impossible, though Michael Phillips has a method detailed on his blog. Hopefully, he will chime in here. I’ve never done it myself.

“You are making this out to be more complicated than it is. Literally all you need to do is go into the project folder of the SD project and drag the bins you want into the project folder of the HD project in the Finder….not within Avid. Avid does not need to be running to do this.

The majority of my freelance work is in an Avid Unity environment. It’s wonderful and works well, however there really isn’t much you can’t do using the classic FCP or PPro duplicated project workflow. Just takes a bit more discipline managing large projects.
Often I find myself running into Avid’s limitations as far as it’s ability to work with footage without transcoding, but when I suggest using PPro instead (“Hey….you know if we were not using Avid, we’d be editing NOW and not waiting 2 hours for this footage we just got in to transcode”) I am met with horror at the thought of not working on a true shared project. As an experienced editor, I think that horror is vastly overblown…but it’s a tough sell to the folks that make these decisions. If Adobe had a product that was less expensive than Adobe Anywhere, and had real project sharing, a big reason to not consider PPro over Avid would disappear. -
24 bit is not a problem. It’s used all the time. The answer lies elsewhere.
Accidentally using compressed audio, or using a weird sample rate could cause odd behavior.
