[Shane Ross] “In case you external drive fails, you don’t lose EVERYTHING. The project file is gold…that must be protected. I keep mine on my internal, and back them up to an external, so in case one drive fails, you have your project backed up.
Media can always be recaptured, but rebuilding an edit takes a looooong time.”
Its also a good idea to put your Autosave Vault on a different drive than your boot drive (if thats where you are storing your project)…this way if your boot drive fails, you dont lose your autosave vault. I also backup my current project to .Mac every night.
