Posted by Sucream on June 12, 2006 at 3:32 pmHi,
I’m trying to export subtitles I’ve created in FCP with alpha
so I can add that on top of movie layer in Avid.
any advise?

June 12, 2006 at 3:59 pmUse Animation with millions of colors +… the + is the alpha channel.
Good luck,

I tried that, but it still has black background to it.
Is there any way that I can just have the text exported so
that the background is transparent? -

June 12, 2006 at 5:49 pmDid you import it to Avid yet? Or are you watching it in a Quicktime Player?
If you are watching it in QT you’ll see the black background… when you import it to Avid it will be transparent.

June 12, 2006 at 6:18 pmNo, I actually imported in FCP again, and
had a movie below it. And it still had the back background… -

Rendering makes a composite from the top layer down.
