You can add burned in timecode to any transcode option using the timecode generator filter.
After applying your preset, go to the filter pane of the inspector and check the Timecode Generator filter from the list.

Forget using FCP’s batch export.

Use Compressor 3 to add a timecode burn in and convert to other formats, but you may be looking at monstrous processing time if you have hundreds of hours of footage.

You might want to look at hardware alternatives….
HDV deck(s) (that can display burned in timecode) to DVD recorder(s)

The only way I can see to make that work would be to export each sequence as a Quicktime movie, then re-import. Multiclip only works with clips, not sequences. Any other way would require making tons of multiclips.

I would probably make the quicktimes self contained, as doing reference movies might reduce your performance of multicam playback.

Make sure all options, including the light and dark green ones, are selecting in your render menu.

if you have some odd combination of rendered and realtime effects you can get stuff like this.

if all else fails, select all the clips, toggle their visibility off and on to delete the render files…then try rendering again.

First thing you need to do is to forget the basic titler.
Use the other tools provided, such as Title 3D, Live Type or Motion.

Martin, I think something is wrong with your hardware. You need to get it checked out by a technician.

I doubt its a virus. There are no known viruses on Mac OSX (though there have been some vulnerabilities exposed from time to time).

You did not mention anything about your system or what version of FCP you are using.
If you are using FCP6.x on a reasonably fast system you should be able to mix DV25 and DV50 without issue in a DV50 timeline.

The DV media is natively DVNTSC (DV25) and will not improve in quality by being re-captured at DV50, though if you are doing heavy compositing you might get some benefit from it (though you would really be better off using an uncompressed format, that being the case)

Duplicate the clip and put it unflipped on V2
Apply the TC filter, then crop around it to reveal the flipped image on V1.

Export your Quicktime.

Reimport into FCP and use the modify timecode function to re-add your timecode.

No problem with the RAID. Its definitely the processor. I can play uncompressed HD off this RAID. I didn’t expect a dual 2ghz G5 to handle ProRes, and it doesnt.

I should have said 1080i 60 though…it seems I can play 23.98fps with some degree of success.

Interesting, But, on the same machine, I cant playback Pro Res HD footage w/o dropping frames…(even on a 5 disk RAID).
