In Symphony, you get Green Line and dot for source color correction, blue for Local (timeline) corrections, and the familiar color correction icon for color corrections that go on top of other effects. Was this project ever opened on a Symphony?

seconded. Sounds like a graphics cared driver issue. Not seeing this at all on my set up (Mac Pro/OSX Lion).

Not sure it really helps, but you can move the timecode track. I have mine between the audio and video tracks, kind of like a border between the two. Handy, as clicking in the timecode bar disables the smart tools when you need to. Might be less distracting for your editor to

Any BWFs or other audio files involved?

Audio playback from Avid comes out of the Decklink card, not the built in computer audio. The built in computer audio would be out of sync with Decklink card’s video. (you can see this effect in FCP, which lets you do it..but it’s problematic…so you shouldn’t!)
Connect the audio output from the Decklink to your mixer.

Avid doesn’t output audio from the computer with the Decklink card…only through the card.
The computers built in audio would be out of sync.

Sorry to go off topic…
Just speculation, but if Apple does this, I would not be surprised to see them license Mac OSX to select high end PC workstations. No technical reason why this can’t be done, now that Apple is using Intel.
It allows Apple to abandon creating hardware that is not profitable enough for them, without abandoning a market where their OS has a large presence. A win/win as far as they are concerned. As long as they keep it officially limited to select high end workstations (firmware or some other restriction), it won’t diminish the brand. Hackers will get around it, but they are doing that anyway, as the thriving Hackintosh community already exists.
Would never happen if Steve were still around, but Cook has already stated he is open to doing things differently.

I actually agree with you and him …it’s annoying.
As Lion supports full screen mode, Avid just needs to take advantage of that in an update…THAT would really fix the issue

Umm… Is there any way to NOT hide the desktop on a PC?
Not sure how one platform is more restrictive than the other in this regard.
