Multipal sequences is probably the best way to go about this is in Premiere. I tested other ideas just now but nothing was any easer.

Also, a point forgot about before. Garbage mattes don’t give you edge controll, so chances are you will find the edges too hard. So, insted of putting the Garbage Matte on the sequence, stick a pure white clip on a track above each sequence and apply the garbage matte to that. Then apply a track matte effect the the sequence. This will allow you to apply a gaussian blur to the white clip under the garbage matte and blur the edges of the square.

If I wanted to replicate that exact effect, here’s how I’d do it.

1) Create two sequences. Drop a single clip (any clip) into one of the sequences. Stick another clip down the timeline at your estimated duration. These clips are just placeholders, you’ll edit the video at the end. We’ll call this sequence with the two clips in it “A”.

2) Open Sequence B and place 4 copies of sequence A in Sequence B one on top of the other.

3) Apply a Garbage matte to each copy of sequence A and crop each one to make a window.

4) apply color correction to the Sequences.

5) stick your logo on the track above the four copies of sequence A and place it over the top left window.

6) Now open up sequence A again and edit your video. Switch back to sequence B to view the affect!

I just had a thought. Do you still have this problem when you don’t have a transition on the end of the clip? What command are you useing to make the key frame snap to the end?

William seems to be all set, but I’m interested if you’re trying to get rid of them. Question, why aren’t you selling them, given that I see the same scopes for sale on eBay for $600 a piece?

Can you post a screen shot of your timeline and the program monitor?

Though I can’t tell from your screen shots, I’m assuming the key frame is snapping to the last frame, which is exactly what it should do. The key frame sits at the beginning of the frame. By moving the key frame as you are you’re moving the key frame to after the last frame, meaning that what ever you have key framed will never reach the end before the end of the clip. What I’m saying is that if you have, say motion key framed to start and point X and end at point Y, with the key frame where it puts it the motion will finish with the clip at position Y at the last frame. If you move the key frame as you have been then the last frame will see the clip’s position at slightly less then Y, since it only reaches Y in the next, nonexistent, frame.

Are you running the latest version of Adobe Media Encoder? I had this issue with 6.0.0 and it was fixed by 6.0.1

I’m glad that things worked out. I had this issue a month ago with half of the codec options missing. (in my case, the codec that I was looking for and couldn’t find was MXF.) It was fixed by the first update to AME, 6.0.1.

Are you still perhaps running 6.0.0?

I’ll just throw in my .02 cents.

I use both Windows and Mac daily. I’m writing these words on a MBP, and I love my Mac. I’ll be getting a mac to replace it.

But, I NEVER use it for my work. That is all done on windows, because I find it far superior as an editing platform. Anything else? I’ll use my mac.

Actually Tero is right. The format of the video stream itself must technically be ether 25 or 29.97 FPS interlaced.

However, that doen’t stop you from putting 23.976p video on a DVD…
