June 27, 2015 at 12:30 am in reply to: Decent hardware but Premiere CC 2015 is really slow and doesn’t response sometimes.I think adobe may have dropped a stinker… I’m having issues with 10sec or longer hanging across multiple CC2015 applications on multiple computers (both Win and Mac) In premiere, it hangs for 20sec or more when leaving trim mode. I got no further then that because any editing involving trimming was impossible.
I’m far to busy to deal with it now… I’m going to stay on CC’14 and wait for them to fix it.
I’m sorry I haven’t got any real advice… but know that you’re not alone!

March 2, 2015 at 10:54 pm in reply to: Premiere CC interpreting footage incorrectly, half frame-rate[Joe Weber] “I’m having the same problem: 29.97 fps is importing as 14.985 (14.99) fps.”
We need to know more about the files.
Format, codec, camera, any other programs that have touched them. (You mentioned audition. What exactly did you do?)
If you have a small file that isn’t working that you could dropbox I’d be happy to take a crack at it.

December 16, 2014 at 9:29 pm in reply to: can you trim numerically in a PP CS6 timeline on a laptop???Yeah, Apple seems to have finally killed the built in numpad on their laptops.
However, a USB numpad can but had for less then $10, so that’s probably the easiest solution.

January 15, 2014 at 6:13 pm in reply to: 24 FPS project in premiere – can I export as 23.98?Both “H.264” and “H.264 Blu-Ray” give me the option for 24fps in Premiere CC. I can’t test CS6 at the moment.
Can you send me a screen shot so we know we’re not talking about different things here?

Sounds like Premiere is displaying frame numbers instead of timecode.
You aren’t by chance editing cellphone videos are you?
Otherwise, try changing the timecode display settings.
You can do this directly by right clicking on the number and a menu will pop up asking how you would like to display timecode. There is also a timecode setting in the Project Settings > General window.

January 14, 2014 at 9:43 pm in reply to: Premiere CC interpreting footage incorrectly, half frame-rateYou could try this:
Duplicate each video file in the project. Interoperate one at 25fps and leave the other as is.
Take the sound from one and the video from the other and stick them in the timeline to they line up.
Merge them to a new clip.
A bit of a pain but if it works you should be able to use the files without transcoding and the resulting quality loss…

August 5, 2013 at 11:08 pm in reply to: Unable to Export a very important project.. “Reading XMP”[Michele Poggi] “AME gets stuck on “Reading XMP”, and Premiere Pro just does not move an inch from 0% if I try directly exporting from it.”
How long have you waited before giving up? Depending on the size and complexity of the project this step can take quite a long time.
