Is anyone able to help me on this

I want the source window in premiere to have the duration of the clip as the timcode – in that if I drag a 3 minute clip into the source window and the client wants the seconds between 2:13 and 2:22 I can just scroll to those times. Instead I have a timecode that is meaningless for the work I am doing? Just really high numbers – any help here would be really appreciated

    Thanks

    Gavin

Sounds like Premiere is displaying frame numbers instead of timecode.

You aren’t by chance editing cellphone videos are you?

Otherwise, try changing the timecode display settings.
You can do this directly by right clicking on the number and a menu will pop up asking how you would like to display timecode.

There is also a timecode setting in the Project Settings > General window.
