You can also use key frames in the clip overlay to customize a dissolve rate.

Unfortunately, the set was repainted to blue before the re-shoot. The good part is they will shoot with a Red Camera and we are using ProRes HQ.

Yeah, I think the idea will be to use both keyboard and trackpad to together to make things quicker.

I believe this happens because of memory issues. Close all unused sequences, applications, etc.

I prefer using the Jedi Mind trick on my FCP. Funny enough, it wont work on a PC.

    BTW
Richard, I sometimes get the same problem on my wife’s new MacBook Pro.
I wonder if it has to do with Snow Leopard? My other computers are using Leopard. Best of luck.

  • Sub clip the portions of the master clips you want to keep.
Media Manage the subclips, copying them to new files.
Delete the old master clips once you are sure you have all your new clips.

Not sure about Boris (We use Keylight 2.0 and this works great), but make sure your white and black mattes are set correctly in the screen matte function. The slightly adjust pre-blur or matte dilate to play with the edges.

  • we use the OWC Blu-ray burner (which is Panasonic)and it has worked great. We use BR to archive data, media, projects etc. To burn a Blu-ray we use Compressor to make Blu-ray H.264 files (make sure the settings are 1080 – for some reason defaults to 720) and either use Encore or take the files from Compressor and dump them into Toast Titanium to make a play only disc.
