With calls to AJA and Adobe I found out that it does not work with the IO or Kona card, only consumer DV Firewire. A big oversight by Adobe. I thought Photoshop CS2 was a professional product, I hope they get RGB support soon, not just firewire. John

Thanks Richard for all of your help. Through hours of phone calls to Adobe and AJA, the problem lies in that it will output to a consumer DV source but not the AJA IO box. I was under the assumption that the Firewire output to the IO box would work. It does not work like the Adobe After Effects RGB output through firewire. I’m out of luck.

Editing on FCP for a week? Final Cut Pro is a great piece of resolution independent editing software that is very flexible. With flexibility comes responsibility! Who is pushing the buttons?

If your wanting to create a movie file from these TGA files you should do it Quicktime Pro not FCP. Go to Quicktime, Open Image sequence, and then export your finished movie in the correct codec as the sequence you will be working in. If this movie contains an alpha channel then export it as an animation compression movie in the correct proportions. Depending on your configuration you may not get realtime playback of this file. I hope this helps, John

You must either digitize the clip from a DVD player or use this app….https://www.dvdxdv.com/ Good Luck.

Make sure your viewer is set to “Fill Window” or once the viewer is selected just hit “Shift Z” and that will do a fit to fill. That’s it.
